Instagram is growing exponentially as we speak!
Lately, the app has been on a roll while introducing new features that can help businesses and creators grow their brands and connect with their customers through quality content.
Let’s take a look at some of the features the brand has introduced for its audience…
With the fame and popularity TikTok has received, Instagram couldn’t be left behind. Hence, the social media giant is introducing Reels. These will be 15-second videos in which users can add whichever filter, song, and other Instagram feature they want to make it more entertaining and relatable to the content they’re promoting.
The idea is to promote a feature which will allow creators and brands to come up with creative ways to reach out to their audiences without needing a different platform. And it’s also a good opportunity for Instagram to maximize user growth especially in countries where TikTok has recently been banned.
Instagram has rolled out a new feature that will allow users to pin comments on posts. This will help not just look at what’s important and brings more value in a post but it also helps brands and other influencers to get rid of spam and inauthentic comments.
With Commerce Eligibility Requirements, new shoppers and creators can access Instagram shopping. This means that any user that has even one authentic product can use shopping tags to drive users toward their business.
In order to make the shopping experience authentic, businesses are allowed to tag products that they themselves own and sell. The feature is available in all countries where Instagram Shopping is supported. But first, you need to check Instagram Shopping Availability according to your country to make sure your product can be reviewed and sold through the feature.
So far users could only like, comment, and donate in live videos of their favourite influencers/celebrities. Now, they can even access a buy option to purchase products during live videos. The get advantages such as:
Badges are expected to expand across the US, Brazil, Australia, UK, Germany, France, Italy, Turkey, Spain, and Mexico in the upcoming months.
Instagram’s latest update also has IGTV ad features that will boost creators’ ROI for the work they promote on IGTV by helping connect users with the brand. Users will be able to watch up to 15 seconds of IGTV ads through mobiles.

It’s not been easy for users to find their favourite brands and categories unless through hashtags. Hence, Instagram has now introduced a Guides feature to help users find reliable information, recommendations, and other relatable content.
For now, the feature is limited to accounts with wellness-focused content in the light of the pandemic. These are @afspnational, @heads_together, @vitaalere, @klicksafe, @headspace_aus, @deepikapadukone, @sudahdong and @eenfance.
